Our Story

Life-Giving Wounds began as a simple retreat ministry in one diocese, and has now grown into a national non-profit organization serving dioceses, campuses, and individuals across the nation. We provide unique, one-of-a-kind retreats, support groups, print/online resources, and social media outreach for the millions of young adults and adults with divorced or separated parents, a large yet under-served, marginalized population. The creative, driving force behind Life-Giving Wounds is a passionate 50-person grassroots, volunteer team of past participants, ministry leaders, and board members, most of whom are adult children of divorce or separation themselves.

We are intentionally a ministry for adult children of divorce led by adult children of divorce. There is no other national, Catholic ministry in the country doing the peer-based ministry programs that we are doing, so please support this new, unique, and much needed ministry.
